The Bible doesn’t talk about God

Many years of work, translations, publications and conferences. A journey started with translations of Masoretic Hebrew manuscripts, made for the catholic Edizioni San Paolo. Not a simple publishing house. Who are we talking about? Without any doubt of Mauro Biglino, one of the most provocative figures in recent years, both in Italy and abroad. He is been carring out classical studies and for about thirty years he has been interested in study of religious texts.

He began with San Paolo translations, that published 17 books of the Old Testament from Leningrad’s Hebrew code; whereupon he issued his books and gave lectures throughout Italy on what his studies brought to light.

His books, translated even abroad, came out from an accurate analysis of Hebrew writings and reveal what those writings really mean, their keys of interpretation, explaining literal meaning, instead of the “symbolic rendering” of Bible.

Biglino invites people to read the Bible in a literal sense only. Many times in his books he claims to analyse matters investigated with the wording “Let’s pretend that…”, starting from the assumption the present Bible is not that one written originally.

He has never treated religion or spirituality, but he literally translated sacred texts up to reaching an assertion which has caused sensation: “the Bible doesn’t talk about God!”

 What does the Bible really talk about?

Very briefly, as I made clear in “La Bibbia non parla di Dio (The Bible doesn’t talk about God)” and in “Il falso Testamento (The fake Testament)” – Mondadori 2015/2016 -, it seems to me the Bible treats of a chronicle, a story between Jacob’s (or Israel’s) family and an individual called as Yahweh, belonging to the Elohim’s group, whose leader, Elyon, charged him to rule those people (of Israel, Dt 32): he makes that in a clear way, openly and, above all, exclusively.

90% of those who believe the Bible message, ironically, have never read it; a faith based on wrong translations. When we talk about ancient languages we are never sure of it. In your book “The Bible doesn’t talk about God” it refers to a word suggesting Almighty Lord. What is this word and what does it really mean?

Answer is very easy for me because I can mention just what the Bible of Jerusalem says in note (Gen. 17,1): the Hebrew term SHADDAI, which is usually translated as Almighty, doesn’t have that meaning but, much more likely, it should mean “Lord of steppe”.  As they are themselves to write it [clergymen], it would be fine, or better still, it would be fair and honest, the Bibles did not contain that translation any longer, which is clearly a theological interpretation, born because of defining as such that god. Theology itself is used to giving him those skills and features which have nothing in common with the biblical figure of Yahweh, turned into the alleged “God Father” of Christianity.

Is the Bible an instrument of social control?

The Bible in itself wouldn’t be that, if it was read and explained for what it really       says: the story of a family living in the Land of Canaan under the command of its governor called Yahweh. Control is wield for centuries, with extreme efficiency, on the basis of what has been conceived starting from that book, but in absolute defiance of what is written in it. The controllers’ luck is that controlled not read it with open and clear mind: in the few cases of doing that, they are conditioned by theological filters, elaborated just to avoid understanding what is actually written in that set of books.

Who are the Elohim? Are they still among us?

In “Antico e Nuovo Testamento, libri senza Dio” (“Old and New Testament, books without God”) – Unoeditori, it. 2015, en. 2016 – I led a specific analysis of how many times that term appears: I realized Elohim (plural word) clearly suggests a group of individuals who had shared lands in governorships/kingdoms and then, as always occurs, they fought against each other to increase power and richness. The term Elohim, fortunately for us, doesn’t indicate God, but persons in flesh and blood. I don’t know if they are still amongst us, but if one day somebody discovers it’s so, I won’t amaze at all, since the system governing us, the financial one in particular, is set with extraordinary precision on the Bible instructions: I refer to the debit/credit system.

In the study of Sacred texts of various cultures we can notice the uniqueness of religious content which joins every human beings. For example, the king of Moabites, Mesha, says exactly the same things the Bible tells about Yahweh. Everyone talks of his “Elohim” in the same way. Were Phoenicians, conquerors of the Mediterranean, Greeks, who spread culture, and Romans, rulers of the world, so silly to worship just stone pieces? Is it possible they had met Elohim as well?

According to me it’s not only possible, but I think it’s reality, actual facts. The books I mentioned before (namely those published by Mondadori) contain a parallel study between the Bible and the Greek texts, from which it appears that those writings tell the stories of the same individuals (Elohim/Theoi) having the same features, the same needs, the same attitudes, the same behaviour, even the same neurophysiological requirements, the same technology, clearly depicted also in the Bible… In my humble opinion, sooner or later, it will take note which Ancient peoples of each mainland have told us so far the same history: all of them had as commanders/rulers/governors the Elohim/Theoi/Dei/Devas…

I’d want to specify that, if in the next 2000 years Christianity is studied with the same interpretive categories today applied to the peoples you appropriately referred to, our western religion will be doubtless defined “idolatrous”, as well as we tend now with people considered pagan, whorshipers of vain stone idols.

When you’ll realize, from this point of view, there isn’t any difference between us and them it will make a big step forward.

The Bible is senseless because it wasn’t given it the right interpretation. It’s a tale of war and it narrates a deal, a covenant, between a family and a definite figure.

Therefore, isn’t there any agreement/covenant of God with humanity?

Answer is clean and sharp (“Il falso Testamento” – “The fake Testament”, Mondadori): Yahweh made an exclusive deal with the Israel’s family (covenant). This is what the Bible talks about.Humanity is not involved at all: peoples dramatically involved were just those who lived, occupied territories object of interest of Yahweh and his own group. The relationships were unidirectional: they had to adapt and accept newcomers (invaders) or to be fought and often completely destroyed. The amazing thing is that it was about close kins, very close, of Israelites: they belonged, in fact, to the same Abraham’s family. The rest of mankind had nothing to do with those internal struggles, led to grab small pieces of land in that tiny part of the planet.

Anni di lavoro, di traduzioni, pubblicazioni e conferenze. Un percorso iniziato con le traduzioni dei codici ebraici masoretici effettuate per le Edizioni San Paolo. Non una casa editrice qualsiasi. Di chi stiamo parlando? Senza alcun dubbio di Mauro Biglino, uno dei personaggi più discussi negli ultimi anni, sia in Italia che all’estero. Ha condotto studi classici e per circa trent’anni si è occupato dello studio dei testi sacri.

Ha iniziato con le traduzioni San Paolo che hanno pubblicato 17 libri dell’Antico Testamento tradotti dal codice ebraico di Leningrado, dopo di che ha pubblicato i suoi libri e ha tenuto conferenze in tutta Italia su ciò che i suoi studi hanno portato alla luce.

I suoi libri, tradotti anche all’estero,  sono il risultato di un’attenta analisi del testo ebraico e rivelano quello che pare ci sia veramente scritto, delle chiavi di lettura che tengono conto di ciò che c’è   e non di come è stata interpretata la Bibbia.

Biglino invita i lettori a leggere la Bibbia unicamente in senso letterale. Nei suoi libri più volte afferma di analizzare le questioni trattate con la formula ‘’Facciamo finta che..’’ partendo dal presupposto che la Bibbia che leggiamo oggi non è quella scritta in origine.

Non parla mai di religione o di spiritualità ma riporta letteralmente le traduzioni dei testi sacri fino a giungere ad un’affermazione che per molti ha destato scalpore: La Bibbia non parla di Dio.

 

Di cosa parla realmente la Bibbia?

In estrema sintesi, come ho esplicitato in “La Bibbia non parla di Dio” e “Il falso testamento” (Mondadori 2015- 2016), a me pare che contenga una cronaca, nella fattispecie la storia del rapporto tra la famiglia di Giacobbe/Israele e un individuo conosciuto con il nome di Yahweh, appartenente alla schiera degli Elohim, il cui comandante, Elyon, gli ha affidato l’incarico di occuparsi di quella gente (Dt 32): lui lo fa in modo esplicito, dichiarato e soprattutto esclusivo.

Il 90 % di coloro che credono al messaggio della Bibbia, paradossalmente, non l’hanno mai letta; una fede che si basa su traduzioni errate. Quando si parla di lingue antiche non vi è mai certezza. Nel suo libro ‘’La Bibbia non parla di Dio’’ (ed. Mondadori, 2015)  si fa riferimento a quella che dovrebbe essere la parola con cui si indica il Signore Onnipotente. Qual è questa parola e cosa significa letteralmente?

La risposta è per me molto semplice perché posso fornirla citando ciò che dice in nota la Bibbia di Gerusalemme (Gen 17,1): il termine ebraico SHADDAI, che viene normalmente tradotto con Onnipotente, non ha quel significato ma, nella migliore  e più probabile delle ipotesi, significherebbe “signore della steppa”.

Visto che sono loro stessi a scriverlo, sarebbe bene, anzi sarebbe semplicemente corretto ed onesto, che le Bibbie non contenessero più quella traduzione che è chiaramente una “interpretazione” teologica nata dalla necessità di qualificare come tale quel Dio che la stessa teologia ha elaborato attribuendogli caratteristiche e connotazioni che nulla hanno a che vedere con la figura biblica di Yahweh, che è stato trasformato nel presunto “Dio padre” della religione cristiana.

La Bibbia è uno strumento di controllo?

La Bibbia in sé non lo sarebbe, se fosse letta e spiegata per ciò che realmente racconta: la storia di una famiglia che viveva in terra di Canaan agli ordini del suo governatore di nome Yahweh. Il controllo viene esercitato da secoli, e con straordinaria efficacia, sulla base di ciò che è stato elaborato a partire da quel libro ma in assoluto dispregio di ciò che vi è scritto. La fortuna dei controllori è che i controllati non lo leggono con mente aperta e serena: nei pochi casi in cui lo fanno, procedono in genere con una lettura condizionata dai filtri teologici che sono stati elaborati proprio per evitare che si comprenda ciò che è concretamente scritto in quell’insieme di libri.

Chi sono gli Elohim? Sono ancora oggi in mezzo a noi?

In “ Antico e Nuovo testamento, libri senza Dio”  (Unoeditori, 2015) ho condotto una analisi specifica sulle ricorrenze bibliche di quel termine: se ne ricava che Elohim (vocabolo plurale)  indica chiaramente un gruppo di individui che si sono spartiti i territori in governatorati/regni e che poi, come sempre succede, hanno combattuto tra di loro per incrementare potere e  ricchezza.

Elohim, per fortuna per tutti noi, non indica infatti Dio ma individui in carne ed ossa.

Non so dire se sono ancora tra di noi, ma se un giorno si scoprisse che è così non me ne stupirei affatto, visto che il sistema che ci governa, quello finanziario in particolare, è impostato con una precisione straordinaria sulle indicazioni contenute nella Bibbia: mi riferisco al sistema del debito/credito.

Nello studio dei testi sacri di svariate culture cade subito all’occhio l’unicità del concetto religioso che accomuna tutti gli esseri umani. Ad esempio, il re dei Moabiti, re Mesha dice esattamente le stesse cose che la Bibbia racconta di Yahweh. Tutti parlano del loro Elohim in egual modo.  I fenici conquistatori del mediterraneo, i greci conquistatori della cultura e i romani conquistatori del mondo, erano cosi stupidi da idolatrare dei pezzi di pietra? E’ possibile che anche loro avessero incontrato gli Elohim?

Secondo me non solo è possibile ma pare corrispondere alla realtà dei fatti. I libri che ho citato prima (nella fattispecie quelli pubblicati da Mondadori) contengono uno studio parallelo tra Bibbia e testi greci da cui emerge come in quegli scritti  si parli degli stessi individui (elohim/theoi) che hanno le stesse caratteristiche, le stesse esigenze, le stesse attitudini, gli stessi comportamenti, persino le stesse esigenze neurofisiologiche, la stessa tecnologia che è chiaramente descritta anche nella Bibbia…

A mio modesto avviso, prima o poi si prenderà atto del fatto che i popoli dell’antichità di ogni continente ci hanno raccontato nella sostanza la stessa storia: tutti hanno avuto come comandanti/regnanti/governatori gli elohim/anunnaki/theoi/dei/deva…

Desidero anche precisare che se tra 2000 anni si studierà il cristianesimo con le stesse categorie interpretative che vengono oggi applicate ai popoli che lei ha opportunamente citato, la nostra religione occidentale sarà indubbiamente definita “idolatrica” proprio come si tende a fare ora con quelle genti ritenute e definite pagane, adoratrici di vani idoli di pietra.

Quando ci si renderà conto che, da questo punto di vista, tra noi e loro non ci sono differenze, si farà un grande passo avanti.

La Bibbia è priva di senso perché non le è stata data la giusta interpretazione. E’ un racconto di guerra e narra di un patto tra una famiglia e un soggetto ben preciso. Quindi, non c’è nessun patto che Dio ha fatto con l’umanità?

La risposta è netta e secca (“Il falso testamento, Mondadori): Yahweh ha fatto un patto esclusivo con la famiglia di Israele. Di questo parla la Bibbia.

L’umanità non vi è coinvolta per nulla: sono stati drammaticamente coinvolti quei popoli che gravitavano su quei territori che erano oggetto di interesse di Yahweh e dei suoi. I rapporti erano unidirezionali: o si adattavano e  accettavano i nuovi arrivati (invasori) o dovevano essere combattuti e spesso totalmente sterminati. La cosa straordinaria è che si trattava di parenti stretti, anzi strettissimi, degli israeliti: appartenevano infatti alla stessa famiglia di Abramo.

Il resto dell’umanità non aveva nulla a che vedere con quella che era una lotta intestina condotta per accaparrarsi dei fazzoletti di terra in quella piccolissima zona del mondo.
